Just for one post.

Can I copy the code from here and just have it for all my blogs? That would be hella awesome. That’s by far my favorite layout ever.

I’d also like someone to take all the things I love, sushi, babies, myself, WoW, and Design, and create some baller looking header for the blog blog. But then, poetry, cooking and design would each have their own look. Does that make sense.

Sure if I had more hours in the day and less children, I could make it happen. But if I had less children, what would I write about?

Eventually this will happen, but not any time soon.

11. Design school also doesn’t teach you how to spell.

No really. I do and no this isn’t a post about Obama.

Most of my clients come from Hyena Cart. I’ve tailored my designs to look pretty freaking spiffy over there. Well the owner of HC has decided to put this UGLY white nav bar on the tops of all the stores. Its gross. It ruins all the designs on the site, unless you have a plain white background. She is unwilling to let the designers change the color. And for what point? I don’t understand. At least let us designers change the color of the bar so it matches the stores.

Perhaps I’m a little off my rocker, but I dislike when things look out of place, and that white nav bar looks completely out of place.Allowing the designers or store owners to match the bar to their store wouldn’t be that hard. Its code that I might not be able to produce on my own, but whoever is producing her precious code could EASILY implement it.

It literally that simple and I have no idea why she’s being a pill about it

When my friends send me links to Hyena Carts of pretty things they want to buy, my first look is always to the deisgn of the cart, not the actual item that’s for sale.

I often find the items not as desirable because the design of the cart is ugly, tacky, played out, or missing something.

This is how my brain works. A blessing and a curse.

Collect images samples from clients flickr account.

Ask client what season she would like to start with.

create first banner.

come up with funny sayings. oh yes, bring out the comedian.

Slow going and no bites from the Hyena community on the cart designs. Silly women. I might have a ‘I need a new trasnmission’ sale on the three current designs I have up there.

Other than that nothing new to report!

I decided to bite the bullet and make some layouts to put on sale on my cart.

The Sorceress was probably my favorite to make because I got to color her. I found this amazing brush set with different black line drawings and I’ve been wanting to color for quite some time now.

Aside from getting all this done this weekend, I’m hoping to get some creative energy to create a logo for my friends podcasts. We’ll see what my brain comes up with.

I’ve worked up two different designs today for HC. I named one The Sorceress and the other is Spring Sunset. Both are amazing.

They are so different than one another and I really like them both.

My eyes hurt, I can’t concentrate on code.

This is a good day.

It is done. I finished the HC, two banners, and Ebay template WITH picture tutorial for my lovely client Tera.

You know, sometimes client’s come along and they are completely agreeable, and let you take the reins and use your creativity to come up with something they love without too much change or input. Tera did just that. She was a joy to work with. I hope she has future projects for me because working with her, wasn’t even ‘work’. It was fun.
